We all want to help our friends, people we love. I know that I need people there to reach out to too. The work that Samaritans do is vital.
Lean On Me
Having sold over a million records since 2004 with her first two albums “Breathe In” and “The Same Side” with tours throughout the UK and Europe, you may be wondering what Lucie Silvas is up to these days.
As well as being a prolific songwriter whose songs have been recorded by many artists worldwide, most notably Will Young’s hit “Who Am I”, Lucie has most recently been working on her third solo studio album “letters to Ghosts”. Having released her first two records through Universal, Lucie decided to go it alone for her latest album, finally signing to Jay Kay of Jamiroquai’s production company late 2010.
Moving over to Nashville, Tennessee in 2009, a place where she felt she could really live and breathe new music, Lucie says of her latest album “Letters to Ghosts” ‘This (album) really is a true reflection of where my life is at now after a tough few years, and also gathers on all the new and exciting experiences of being on my own in a new place’.
Lucie cites her influences as ranging from Bill Withers, Ray Charles and Roberta flack to Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow and Mumford and Sons!
“Letters to Ghosts” will be released later this year and you can follow @LucieSilvas on Twitter to find out the latest news and gossip or check out her official Facebook fan page.
